Laura Maleknia is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with over six years of experience, including a three-year tenure in internal medicine and three years focused on establishing and implementing weight loss programs. She graduated magna cum laude from George Washington University with an NP degree, building on a solid academic foundation from New York University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
During her tenure in internal medicine at an educational facility, Laura developed a profound passion for managing ADHD and mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression, which became increasingly prevalent during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also focused on weight loss management, understanding the significant impact these areas of care have on a patient’s overall health and well-being. She later spearheaded the development of weight loss programs, further broadening her impact in promoting healthier lifestyles through innovative care approaches.
